Wireless Internet Installer

We are looking for an experienced self motivated Wireless Internet Installer to work in the Northumberland County area. The ideal candidate must be able to work outside year round, in all weather conditions. There will also be some in office telephone technical support.
 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform all installation functions associated with the addition, modification and removal of all technology equipment, hardware, testing, drilling and running cabling, terminate network Indoor and Outdoor Ethernet cable into RJ-45 ends
  • Mount Tri-pod and Satellite J-Arm mounting apparatus to roof and seal to ensure no leaks
  • Program and provision CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) currently using Ubiquiti Networks products
  • Use Windows versions XP to latest Windows 10
  • Installation and servicing of wireless internet to residential and business customers
  • Assess and troubleshoot equipment on site and/or over the phone
  • Analyze problems and develop solutions to meet customer needs
  • Comfortable working safely at heights due to extensive ladder work, manlift work, tower climbing, (up to 100 ft freestanding towers) and working on roofs
  • Accurately complete work orders and process payments
  • Available to work overtime and after hours as needed
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers in a positive and professional manner

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • 1 year previous experience in technical related fields
  • Network+ certification would be preferred but not required
  • Must be able to tow trailers
  • Strong computer and technical skills
  • Operate power tools skillfully
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with a positive approach to customer service
  • Well organized with good time management skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and adapt to new technology/industry changes
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma
  • Post-secondary education preferred
  • Safety Certifications: Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platforms, WHMIS
  • A valid G-class driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
  • Must be willing to provide Criminal Reference Check upon conditional offer

PPE REQUIREMENTS

  • Safety shoes
  • Hard hat
