Resolved – Cogeco Fiber Outage

UPDATE: Outage resolved by upstream fiber optic provider at 9:45pm

UPDATE: Cogeco has posted that the estimated restoration of services is 9:45pm. Their outage is due to a cut fiber optic line. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Due to an outage with our upstream fiber optic provider to the internet, the Airnet network is experiencing slowness. This started at 1:30pm. All towers that normally depend on this fiber optic connection in Colborne are thankfully not experiencing a total outage and have been re-routed out our other fiber optic connections throughout Northumberland County. This unfortunately is causing temporary slowness until our upstream provider resolves and repairs their fiber optic network which will allow the Airnet network to connect to the Internet at full capacity again. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while our fiber optic internet provider repairs their issue.

Resolved – Power Outage Affecting Perrytown Tower Operations

Dear Customers,

We want to inform you that a power outage has impacted our Perrytown tower since 5:50 PM yesterday evening (Tue Aug 29, 2025). Initially, Hydro One estimated restoration by 3:00 AM, but the timeline has since been updated to 12:00 PM (noon) today.

We understand how disruptive this can be and appreciate your patience as we await resolution. For the most current updates, please refer to Hydro One’s Storm Centre outage map.
