Cogeco Outage

Due to a widespread Cogeco outage, the fibre connection feeding the Eastern portion of our network is currently down.

Our technicians have successfully re-routed affected customers through an alternate fibre connection within our network to restore service. While customers should remain online, this temporary solution may result in slower speeds or increased latency during peak usage periods, as the alternate connection is carrying significantly more traffic than normal.

We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will return traffic to the primary fibre connection as soon as Cogeco has resolved the outage.

Gores Landing Outage

Unfortunately our Gores Landing tower is currently offline however technicians will be dispatched tomorrow morning to resolve the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience but appreciate your patience.

Killdeer Outage

UPDATE: Issue was a tripped breaker inside a building that Airnet does not have access to. Airnet wasn’t able to resolve the issue until 3pm when the breaker was reset.

Unfortunately our Killdeer tower is offline due to damage from a power surge when hydro was restored last night. ETA for restoration is this afternoon. We apologize for any inconvenience but appreciate your patience.

Resolved – Cogeco Fiber Outage

UPDATE: Outage resolved by upstream fiber optic provider at 9:45pm

UPDATE: Cogeco has posted that the estimated restoration of services is 9:45pm. Their outage is due to a cut fiber optic line. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Due to an outage with our upstream fiber optic provider to the internet, the Airnet network is experiencing slowness. This started at 1:30pm. All towers that normally depend on this fiber optic connection in Colborne are thankfully not experiencing a total outage and have been re-routed out our other fiber optic connections throughout Northumberland County. This unfortunately is causing temporary slowness until our upstream provider resolves and repairs their fiber optic network which will allow the Airnet network to connect to the Internet at full capacity again. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while our fiber optic internet provider repairs their issue.

Resolved – Power Outage Affecting Perrytown Tower Operations

Dear Customers,

We want to inform you that a power outage has impacted our Perrytown tower since 5:50 PM yesterday evening (Tue Aug 29, 2025). Initially, Hydro One estimated restoration by 3:00 AM, but the timeline has since been updated to 12:00 PM (noon) today.
